A Friendly Reminder About Arrival Times

We’d like to ask for your help and understanding regarding arrival times.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen an increase in guests arriving well before their scheduled check-in time, sometimes as early as 8:50am. While we completely understand the excitement of starting your holiday, our team have occasionally experienced frustration and, in some cases, aggression when we’ve been unable to accommodate these early arrivals.

We thought it might be helpful to explain how our arrival times are set and what happens behind the scenes to prepare the park for your stay.

Touring Pitches

Touring arrivals are from 1:00pm.

As we now offer late departures, your pitch may still be occupied until 12:30pm. During the short period between departures and arrivals, our team work hard to prepare the site for incoming guests. This is the only opportunity we have during our busiest months, when the park is often running at full capacity, to mow the grass, maintain the grounds, and keep the park looking its best.

At the same time, our facilities team carry out a full clean of the shower block at 11:00am, when it causes the least disruption to guests. Our wardens then take a well-earned lunch break between 12:00pm and 1:00pm before welcoming new arrivals.

If you arrive before 1:00pm, there is a good chance your pitch is still occupied or being prepared, and there may not be a member of the team available to check you in.

Accommodation

Accommodation check-in is from 4:00pm, unless you have pre-booked an early arrival.

Our housekeeping team have just six hours, between 10:00am and 4:00pm, to prepare up to 23 properties for arriving guests. Each property takes between two and three hours to clean and inspect, so our housekeeping operation runs in two waves.

Properties with pre-booked early arrivals are prioritised first thing in the morning to ensure they are ready by 1:00pm. Housekeepers then move on to their second property of the day, ensuring everything is ready for our standard 4:00pm arrival time.

Early Arrivals and Late Departures

If you would like a little extra flexibility, we offer both early arrivals and late departures for £10. These must be booked at least one day before arrival so that we can plan staffing and housekeeping schedules accordingly. Availability is limited and depends on the number of team members we have working each day.
