You can have pleasant walks anytime on the Findhorn Beach which is just a 15-minutes away.
Walks around the Findhorn river are usually an uplifting experience. We recommend for example the Randolph’s Leap from Logie Steading walk as featured on the www.walkhighlands.co.uk website. The same site features many lovely walks around the Forres area.
Forres Footpath Trust has a lot of information about the local walks around Forres with great maps.
The Dava Way used to be a railroad connecting Grantown-on-Spey to Forres. The Dava Way is nowadays a walking and cycling path that links those two historic towns. The total distance from the centres is 24 miles (38km), of which 22 miles (35 km) are in open countryside.
ForresWeb has a well-structured section for walks.
Nearby Culbin Forest also offers interesting walks with views from the other side of the Findhorn Bay.
Another good website for walks is this one: Forestry Commission Scotland: Moray Forest Walks.
